1. The latest motion picture score release featuring music from Atticus Ross, Leopold Ross and Claudia Sarne, Dias de Gracia or Days of Grace depending on what country you are in is up for preorder here.

The 12 Rounds members’ contributions were probably recorded between The Book of Eli and The Social Network scores, as this movie has been in development for release for quite some time. The score also features music from Nick Cave and Warren Ellis, Shigeru Umebayashi, Scarlett Johansson and 3D from Massive Attack and more talented artists. Even if you aren’t a huge fan of 12 Rounds, you should probably check it out.

2. The Object Merch store webpage for 12 Rounds merchandise still exists but doesn’t let you check out, regardless of your country of origin.

3. Claudia Sarne will be featured on Eric Avery’s as-yet-untitled album as a vocalist on a David Bowie cover tune.

We don’t have any new 12 Rounds news to report, as Atticus has been busy with some other tiny side projects, such as The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo soundtrack, and now moving on to the How To Destroy Angels debut album. James over at Fuck Yeah Atticus Ross on Tumblr has been doing an excellent job of providing updates and flashbacks.

We do have a report of something that slipped through the cracks: “Dead Man” and “Sioux 86″ were both in the film Rise: Blood Hunter, released way back in 2007. “Dead Man” can be heard starting at 11:25, and “Sioux 86″ is at 39:11. The film is available on DVD, and there’s also a UK Blu-ray, but it’s region-free. Thanks to Tatiana for bringing this to our attention!

If you’re looking to fill up your holiday wish list, 12 Rounds was also featured on Shadow Hours, Brilliant But Cancelled Crime Dramas (includes an episode of Touching Evil), New York I Love You (the Allen Hughes segment is scored by 12 Rounds), All Over Me (features “Something’s Burning”), and of course The Book of Eli.

The Social Network Soundtrack by Trent Reznor and 12 Rounds’ Atticus Ross is now available digitally through Amazon.com and available for pre-order in several physical varieties, which all include an immediately available digital copy through The Null Corporation.

The film hits theaters this Friday, October 1!

Congratulations to Atticus Ross for winning a 2010 BMI Film/TV Award for his score for the film The Book of Eli!

In other Eli news, the film will be released on DVD and Blu-Ray for international sale in the UK and other territories on 31 May and domestically in the United States on June 15th.

New York, I Love You, a 2009 film in the Cities of Love series, features a segment directed by Allen Hughes with score by Atticus Ross, Claudia Sarne and Leopold Ross.

The bluray and dvd release of the film is February 2, 2010 and you can preorder today at Amazon.com.

I got the chance to see an early press screening of The Book of Eli tonight and was very excited to hear the soundtrack as it played out in the film. I ended up being very impressed with the story, the cinematography and the way that the music helps to tell the story.

I’ve been a fan of 12 Rounds for over 12 years and have helped to maintain this website for almost that long. I’ve seen 12 Rounds in concert, Claudia and Leopold play with nearLY in Los Angeles and talked with all three, and one of my biggest thrills as a fan of this band was to see a frame in the credits that said the following:

Music by
Atticus Ross
Claudia Sarne
and Leopold Ross.

The Book of Eli is in theaters today. Check it out not just for the music but for the brilliant film the Hughes Brothers have produced.
